Colchester Park PRESCHOOL

At Colchester Park Preschool we provide a rich, authentic and stimulating program based on a collaborative approach which incorporates all stakeholders including children, educators and families. Our outdoor area has been recently renovated to reflect our belief in the importance of nature play and road safety education, which is embedded in our program through the environment, resources and regular outings to local parks, schools and community organisations. Our love of music is reflected in our extensive music program across both the three and four year old programs

We are committed to embedding Aboriginal Perspectives in our service and are continually reflecting on ways to improve our knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and connection to the environment.  Teaching children to respect the environment is represented through our commitment to nature play and inclusion of pets in our service, including a Cockatiel, chickens and stick insects.

We are so proud of our preschool and look forward to seeing you here next year.

We have a range of pets, including chickens and fish and throughout the year we look for spontaneous opportunities to keep and observe creatures such as stick insects, caterpillars and silk worms.  Our passion for children connecting with the outdoors is reflected in our extensive playground, which includes natural elements such as a mud kitchen and maze.

We have a strong commitment to sustainability and provide an extensive education program which is embedded in to our every day routines and practices including a vegie garden, worm farm, compost and cooking experiences with our eggs collected from the chickens.
